LOHA FALL 2013 HOUSING+SHARING
Housing+Sharing – Storytelling Night
SHARING is a hot topic these days! Think of the way companies like Car2Go, Airbnb, Groupon and Kickstarter are changing how we live, work, move and spend.
Many elements of our life are being affected by the ‘sharing economy’ and housing is no exception. This evening event focuses on exposing how sharing can allow people to live more affordably while engaging with their community. A variety of speakers will give us their insights on how to establish thriving sharing communities in Vancouver!
Tuesday October 22nd, 2013
Doors open: 6:30pm
Location: Lost and Found Café (33 West Hastings, Vancouver)
Recollective is proud to sponsor the online energy modelling “Screening Tool”!
This FREE tool allows you to quickly estimate the energy performance of a proposed building design relative to the Model National Energy Code for Buildings (MNECB) and the rules established by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). By conducting this preliminary screening, you can assess the impact of a single measure or a combination of measures to maximize the energy efficiency of your design.

“By 2050 the Metro Vancouver area population will be over 4 million, almost double the 2.3 million people here now. With this growth in mind, how can we shape Vancouver as a truly sustainable city? Who are the people and organizations working towards this vision? How can everyday citizens get involved? Find answers to these questions and a whole lot more in the Experience 2050: Change Jam series.”
