We have experience working on over 750 green buildings in North America.  We’ve successfully completed over 100 LEED certifications, over 200 energy models, over 75 embodied carbon analyses and are currently consulting on over 100 active green building projects, amounting to over 30 million square feet of development.

Recollective has experience consulting on the largest Living Building (pending certification) in the world: the Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence, the largest Passive House development in the world, a 650,000 SF twin tower develop located at 1488 Alberni Street in Vancouver, and Vancouver’s Olympic Village, the highest-scoring LEED Neighbourhood Development in the world at the time.

We employ a multi-disciplinary team who can support your project from a variety of angles. We augment our in-house team with collaborators working in facilitation, design, engineering, building science, building simulations, quantity surveying, commissioning, airtightness, art, and psychology.

Beyond the building scale, Recollective also provides strategic consulting services to municipalities in areas such as sustainable land-use strategies, green building guidelines and policies. Examples include a Green Building Strategy for City of Albuquerque, a Carbon-Neutral and LEED Gold Strategy for BC Housing, and a Green Building Renovation by-law for One and Two Family Dwellings for the City of Vancouver.

With experience as LEED project application reviewers for the CaGBC, as well as being instructors for UBC, CaGBC, and Cascadia, we have an in-depth knowledge of what’s required for a successful integrated green building design, as well as LEED and Zero Carbon application. Recollective is a member of Passive House Canada, both the Canada and US Green Building Councils and is a practitioner, as well as an educator and advocate of green building.

Through volunteer engagement on numerous local, national and transnational green building committees and boards of directors, including the Canada, USGBC, and Cascadia Green Building Councils, Recollective is committed to help strengthen and grow the green building movement.
